MEET THE TEAM

Dr. Douglas N. Christiansen was born in Riverside, California and grew up traveling the world as the youngest member of a military family.   He received his DDS degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 1982.   Following his dental training, he spent 5 years active duty as a dentist in the US Navy.   Dr. Christiansen opened his dental practice in San Diego in 1987. His primary focus is in the area of preventive and restorative dentistry.   He is active in numerous professional and civic organizations.   His wife Michelle, also from a military family, is a dental hygienist in the practice.

MEET THE STAFF

Gail Lee, RDA-EF
Gail Lee is our front office manager in charge of scheduling and patient accounts. She has worked in dentistry for over 25 years. Gail is a San Diego native, growing up in the Bonita area. She has been married to her husband, Buzz, for over 20 years.

Beth Eggert, RDA, RDH
Beth is our dental hygienist. She was the doctor's assistant in the practice for 7 years before attending dental hygiene school at Southwest College. Beth is also a native San Diegan, graduating from Mission Bay High School.

Ulrika (“Rikki”) Rodin, RDA
Ulrika is our lead patient treatment coordinator. She has over 25 years experience making patients feel comfortable in the dental environment. Ulrika is a native of Sweden and also speaks Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish.

Vanessa Masse, RDA
Vanessa is our youngest team member and the second treatment coordinator.   She is a native to San Diego, growing up in Clairemont and attending Madison High School, and Mesa College Dental Assisting Program.   Vanessa also plans to pursue a career as a dental hygienist.

Michelle Christiansen, RDH
Michelle was born in Nashville, and received her certificate in dental hygiene from the University of Tennessee.   She can be seen in the practice on Mondays and Wednesdays and is also a part-time actress.
